Alison Hope

Principal Consultant



For 20+ years Alison has been helping businesses grab the spotlight and succeed. She was instrumental in growing a local Pilates studio into an internationally respected brand of videos, training and equipment. More recently she helped put MPOWERD®, a New York-based solar lighting start-up on the map. In her early career she worked for a New York-based PR firm and handled marketing and communications for large organizations across a variety of industries. In addition to her strategic work, Alison is an accomplished brand manager and content creator. Alison started Hope Communications in 2007 to help visionary businesses succeed and make a positive impact. She thrives on collaborating with entrepreneurs and business leaders to articulate their visions, lay the ground work for their success, and share their stories far and wide. Alison has a BA in English and is a lifelong health and fitness enthusiast.





With an MBA and over 20 years' experience, Helen has acquired a combination of sales, marketing and finance experience through leadership roles with major consumer packaged goods manufacturers including Unilever and Ocean Spray. She also worked as the Director of Education Services for an entrepreneurial health and fitness company to expand their education programs worldwide. Helen thrives on building businesses through the analysis, development and implementation of winning strategies and plans. She is an excellent motivator of people with proven ability to develop industry-leading customer management/sales capability. In sport, she has held positions as a coach and official at both the national and provincial levels, and is a member of the Islington Golf Club. 





After an early career with blue chip clients in public relations agencies, Lydia was one of the first managers hired by the LCBO to usher the world's largest retailer of beverage alcohol into the modern age. Responsible for launching many new communication tactics, she was the founding editor of the bilingual FOOD&DRINK magazine. Later Lydia entered the world of small business as co-owner of the in-school publishing firm MIR Communications where she was editor of several bilingual, direct distribution magazines. As content shifted online, so did Lydia, completing a diploma in multimedia digital web from Toronto Image Works in 2011. At Hope Communications, Lydia, who has a Bachelor of Arts, manages many of the writing and content development projects. Mother to two young urban women, Lydia is a social Argentine tango dancer and always on a quest for authentic Italian food.
